Girls in FRAME:
Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert

Translation missing: en.blogs.article.author_on_date_html

paragraph:Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert lives and breathes the motto “Being cool is a bore, being fun is glaMORE.” Take one glance at the budding fashion icon’s Instagram and you can tell by right away that, in her case, less is certainly not more. The moment Giovanna starts talking, she draws you in, providing a shiny-clear window into the hilariously kaleidoscopic world she’s created—one that began in Italy and now co-exists between New York City and Stockholm (along with every stop along the way).

That’s your next book. --

Gio_Pedia! I would love to do a mood book but it’s difficult. I would do it tomorrow if I could. Everything I’ve ever done in my life has a mood board but you have to ask permission from everybody and I use millions of pictures.

At this point you could just make a book of all of your own work. Like a portfolio. --

I’m too young for that!

paragraph:
Most people would be like, “Yeah! I should make a book!” I know 25-year-olds who are writing memoirs. And I’m like, “About what?” --

I’m thirty-fucking-eight and I’ve only been working in fashion for ten years! Joe McKenna and Marie-Amélie Sauvé have books. I really don’t know when I’m going to be content enough with my work to say, “OK. Let’s make a book of all my work.” Maybe this should happen when I retire? (Laughs) I’m not gonna retire though. I think I’m gonna work forever.
